WELCOME
We welcome Chaplain
Colonel Michael BeLue (Ret.) and his wife, Elaine, to Good Hope Baptist Church. He will be filling the
pulpit today while Pastor John and Renee
are attending the Southern Baptist Convention in Baltimore, Maryland as
messengers from Good Hope. Rev. BeLue began ministry as a Bi-Vocational Pastor
in 1979. Following that, he pastored two churches over a five year period
before becoming an Army Chaplain. He served as Chaplain from 1985 until 2009,
when he retired from the military. He is certified in Transitional Pastoral
Ministry and served as Transitional Pastor at Langston Baptist in 2011. He
became the Interim Director of Missions at the Waccamaw Association in June
2012. He and his wife, Elaine, live in Carolina Forest and are members at
Langston Baptist Church in Conway
FATHER’S
DAY
Plan
to celebrate Father’s Day next Sunday here at Good Hope. At 9:30am we will have
“Donuts
for Dad” in the CLC and the whole family is invited. During the morning
service we will recognize the oldest dad, the youngest dad and the dad with the
most family present. There will be no evening service.
WORKERS TOGETHER
There has been wonderful response to fill all of the
positions of ministry with
the worksheets
from the Nominating Committee. God calls
us to serve Him
together in 1 Corinthians 3:9, “For we are
laborers together with God…….”
There are only a few places that need some help. Please take the revised
worksheet and
ask God what you can do to serve Him. Turn in your sheet by June 15, 2014.
Thanks!
