NOMINATING COMMITTEE

Last Wednesday night the church approved the Nominating Committee.  Those on the committee are:  Von Todd, Michelle Cook, Craig Booth, Rick Rush, Renee Sullivan, Ben Atkins, Tammy Stevens and Avery Hamilton.  This group will have their first meeting Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.  Pray for them as they serve the Lord and the church.

D-NOW WEEKEND

    D-Now will begin on April 12th at 6:00pm. It will go through Saturday night, April 13th. Good Hope Baptist is hosting this event, other churches involved are: Bakers Chapel, High Point, and Juniper Bay. The theme for the weekend is "Restraint Purity." All Bible studies will be based on what and/or how God calls us as individuals to be pure in our thoughts, actions, and relations.

    I am asking the church to please lift this weekend up in prayer. It seems like teenagers are really being under attack against satan and his angels. My prayer is that the students will come out of this weekend knowing the love and grace which is freely given from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

    Also, if anyone can help by bringing some sort of baked goods to the church on Friday afternoon it would be greatly appreciated.

    I also would like to meet with the parents whose teenager will be involved with the D-Now weekend. The meeting will be tonight at 5:30pm upstairs in the youth room.    Thanks, James Mew

The Keenagers will leave the church at 11:00 a.m. to go to Magnolia’s for lunch on April 15, 2013. Come expecting to have good food and fellowship.
