WEDNESDAY NIGHT SERVICE
This
Wednesday night, August 1st, we will begin at 6:55pm. After a brief
devotion, we will go to Conway for "Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day."
Gov. Mike Huckabee writes, "Let's affirm a business that operates on
Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the
Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick-Fil-A on
Wednesday, August 1st. Too often, those on the left make corporate statements
to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if
Christians affirm traditional values, we're considered homophobic,
fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant. "There's no need for anyone
to be angry or engage in a verbal battle," Huckabee added. "Simply
affirm appreciation for a company run by Christian principles by showing up on
Wednesday, August 1 or by participating online -- tweeting your support or
sending a message on Facebook."
THE BUS HAS
ARRIVED!
Recently the Church authorized the Deacons to seek
and purchase a bus to meet our transportation needs. After searching
diligently, they have found one. This bus will be used for Sunday School classes,
Keenagers, Youth Ministry and other church activities. We appreciate all
of the Deacons for their study and input for this project, especially
Charles Hucks and Rodney Johnson for logging many miles going to look at
several buses around the state.
ADORATION TRIO
On Sunday, August 19th, The Adoration Trio will be at
Good Hope for a Christian concert. They have blessed us before, presenting
God's message in song. They are a dynamic group of young ladies who love to
sing about Jesus Christ. Bring some friends! It all begins at 6:00pm.
