CONGRATULATIONS
Dylan Rush was recognized at the Horry County Middle
School Scholar Awards Program as a Johns Hopkins CTY High Honors Scholar.
He participated in advanced testing through the Johns Hopkins Center for
Talented Youth and he was the only sixth grader in the district to receive this
recognition. As a sixth grader, his scores were compared nationally to
ninth graders, and he performed at the 99th percentile in both areas.
He also received all A’s this year and received awards for having the highest
grade point average in 6th grade in Math, Science, Social Studies,
and ELA. In addition, he was voted as
Vice President of the student body for next year at Conway Middle School. In
athletics, Dylan placed first in all divisions while competing in a national
grappling (MMA style wresting) competition in Charlotte.
