Conferences are Biblical. The people of God periodically had multi-day meetings
to seek the Lord afresh. It does every church some good once in a while to set
aside a few nights for people to come together to seek the Lord for spiritual
refreshing and for the souls of the lost.
Pray for the Lord to use each of us to bring others who need to be saved, renewed or encouraged in the Lord. Pray for the Lord to speak through the preachers each night.

23rd at 6:00pm, Dr. Bob Teams, Pastor of Garden City Baptist Church.
Garden City Baptist Church has called Bob Teems as full-time senior pastor effective Nov. 10. He has served as supply pastor there since January of this year. Teems and his wife, Mary Ann, come to Garden City from First Baptist Church, Georgetown.

Baptist Church.
It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I serve
my Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ, in such a wonderful church! It is my
prayer that, under God's Leadership, we can see the harvest of many
souls in His Kingdom right here in this community!
I am a native of Georgia, having been born and raised
in Waycross/Ware County, home of the Okefenokee Swamp (second to the
Everglades in size and scope). I am a 1975 graduate of
Georgia Southern University
with a B.S. degree in Public Recreation, and a 1980 graduate of
Southeastern Baptist Theological
Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.
I am madly in love with Lucy, my wife of 35 years. She
is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University, and she earned her
Master's degree from the University of South Carolina. We have two
children: Chris, our son, who is married to Lindsay, and they have
blessed us with our first grandchild--Ellie Jane--who was born on
March 3rd of this year; and Stephanie, our daughter, who lives and
works in Myrtle Beach.
