HOMECOMING SERVICES October 5, 2014

    Good Hope Baptist Church

                        1864 ~ 2014

                 Celebrating 150 Years

Thank you for attending the Sesquicentennial Celebration of Good Hope Baptist Church. We are honored by your presence.

GHBC is a church that has been enriched by its past.

Many lives have been touched by the Lord Jesus Christ through the years by those who have ministered to us in this fellowship.

GHBC is a church that is excited about its present.

God’s hand is upon us. Souls are being saved, believers are being baptized, and we are encountering God in worship in a powerful way.

GHBC is a church that is expectant about its future.

We know that God will use those who seek Him! We will continue to worship Him and witness of Him to a lost and dying world. May God help us to be on mission for Him until He calls us home.

              Welcome!

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome

members and friends as we  gather
today to celebrate the 150th Anniversary
of Good Hope Baptist Church. God
has guided many generations of faithful
followers to serve Him in this fellowship.
God has done many marvelous things;
and after one hundred and fifty years,
He is still at work in this place. We give
Him all the praise and glory!

Thank you for sharing in this historic occasion.

   Rev. John W. Sullivan, Pastor

HOMECOMING RECOGNITION
Traditionally the Homecoming Committee recognizes an individual each year; however, since we are celebrating our 150th Anniversary, the Committee chose to recognize all persons present who have roots that lead to the beginning days of our church.

May this 150th Anniversary be a memorable tribute to those early pioneering individuals and their descendants today who stand on the shoulders of a strong heritage.

OUR PASTOR
Rev. John Wesley Sullivan has been our pastor since October 26, 2003. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He has served churches in Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina during his thirty years in the ministry.

John and his wife, Renee, are blessed with five children and six grand-children.
